About me

I am a qualified holistic dietitian and Public Health consultant and specialise in integrative science-backed nutrition

I am of mixed heritage, Dutch/Indian and was born and breed in London. I moved to Somerset in 2012 for 10 years and then decided to return to the Netherlands and set up a Dietetic practice in Utrecht.

After completing my dietetic placements in large teaching hospitals in the UK, I felt disillusioned by the rigid protocols and over reliance of symptoms rather than tackling the root cause.

I believe in a holistic approach which treats the physical and mental inbalances and are personalised towards individual constitutions.

Food is a highly emotive topic and many of our food habits are bound with emotional ties, for this reason I completed an acceptance commitment therapy course https://www.actinactie.nl/wat-is-act/ to help me motivate and support my clients to make those first steps to change. I am a great believer in functional medicine and am currently studying at the https://www.sohf.nl to gain my qualification as an orthomolecular therapist.

My training spans nutrition therapy, community outreach, and lifestyle coaching. I have worked with diverse communities—ranging from care homes to schools and hospitals—empowering individuals to make better, informed decisions about their health and well-being.

I have a keen in interest in autoimmune diseases, following a diagnosis with Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS), being a complex autoimmune condition often requiring lifelong anticoagulation which made me feel limited by conventional medicine's protocols.

Many autoimmune conditions—including APS—are being increasingly associated with gut dysbiosis, increased intestinal permeability ("leaky gut"), and chronic low-grade inflammation. By focusing on nutrition and gut health, I specialise in exploring complementary strategies using diet therapy to support immune regulation .

Beyond nutrition, I am passionate about the culinary arts and sustainable farming, which adds a practical and creative layer to my approach. While living in Somerset, I founded The Vegetable Diva @thevegetablediva, a package-free vegetarian catering company and café with a zero-waste menu, based around all the micro-seasons. The produce for the business was supplied by my biodynamic farm and orchard, The Diva Fields @divafields.

My expertise in these areas allows me to create personalised nutrition plans that are practical, mindful of budget, and considerate of cultural preferences. I also have a strong background in research and am up to date with the latest developments in the industry.

My goal is to empower you to make informed, sustainable health choices that align with your unique needs, values, and cultural preferences.
